Data enrichment tools that add the context a rep needs, not just more fields
Data enrichment tools take a record you already have, such as a company domain or a contact name, and add the information that is missing: industry, headcount, location, technology, job title, email or phone. ProspectScouter enriches every account it scouts in a way built for outreach. Alongside the company snapshot and verified contacts, each record carries a fit grade with reasons, buying signals quoted from public sources, the roles to contact and a first message, and all of it travels into your CRM.

Three kinds of B2B data enrichment
The word enrichment is used for quite different jobs, and it pays to know which one you are buying.
- Field enrichment fills standard attributes on a record: industry, employee count, revenue range, headquarters, social links and technology used.
- Contact enrichment adds people to an account, or completes a person's record with a work email, direct line and current title.
- Context enrichment adds what is changing at the account and why it matters to you: recent hiring, funding, leadership changes, launches, plus a judgement of how well the account fits.
Field enrichment is mostly about CRM completeness, routing and reporting. Contact enrichment is about reach. Context enrichment is about relevance, which is the part that decides whether an email gets a reply. Most data enrichment tools focus on the first two. ProspectScouter is strongest on the third and covers the second for the roles that matter.
What a ProspectScouter record contains
Every account on the scouting board, and every company you scout on demand by entering its website, is enriched with the same set of fields.
- Company snapshot with what the company does, who it sells to, its size range and location.
- Fit grade from A to D against your ideal customer profile, with the reasons in plain language.
- Buying signals such as hiring for a role you help, new funding, a new executive, a new location, a technology change or a product launch, each with a quoted snippet and a link to the public source.
- Roles to contact for the account, chosen from the signal and your profile.
- Verified work emails and direct lines for the people in those roles.
- A suggested angle and a first email plus LinkedIn note written from the signal.
The data comes from public company pages (homepage, careers, jobs, about, news, blog), public filings and announcements, and licensed data providers for contacts. Opt-out requests are honored, and personal data is handled under GDPR and CCPA rules. Learn more on the security page.

Enriched records that stay clean in your CRM
Enrichment is only useful if it lands in the right place without creating a mess. Before any sync, ProspectScouter checks for existing records and skips duplicates. The fit grade and the signal go with each account and contact, so anyone who opens the record later sees why it is there. CSV export works on every plan, HubSpot and Pipedrive sync start on Growth, and Salesforce sync and API access are on Scale. The integrations page shows the field mapping.
On Growth and higher plans, watched accounts stay current after the first sync. When one shows a new signal, you get an email or Slack alert, so the context on the record does not go stale while the deal waits.

When a different enrichment tool fits better
ProspectScouter enriches the accounts you are about to prospect. It is not built to backfill firmographic fields on tens of thousands of existing CRM records for reporting or routing. If your main goal is a complete CRM for marketing segmentation, a CRM native enrichment add on or a large data platform is the more natural choice, and ProspectScouter can run beside it for the accounts your reps work each week.
Who gets value from context enrichment
SDR teams who need more than a headcount field before writing a first email. Account executives who want a short brief on each account in their territory. RevOps teams who want the fit grade and the reason for outreach stored on every new record. Agencies who deliver enriched, researched lists to clients from separate workspaces. Founders who want each target account explained in a page, not a spreadsheet row.
What to check before buying data enrichment tools
- 01 Which fields do you actually use in outreach, routing and reporting, and which are nice to have?
- 02 Can every enriched value be traced to a source, especially signals and claims about the company?
- 03 How often is enriched data refreshed, and is there an alert when something important changes?
- 04 Are emails verified, and are unverifiable addresses labelled?
- 05 Does the tool check for duplicates before writing to your CRM?
- 06 How are contacts sourced, and does the vendor honor opt-out and document GDPR and CCPA handling?
- 07 Is pricing predictable, or does every field and retry consume credits?

FAQ
What does ProspectScouter add to an account record?
A company snapshot, a fit grade with reasons, buying signals with quoted snippets and source links, the roles to contact, verified work emails and direct lines, a suggested angle and a first email plus LinkedIn note.
Can I enrich a single company I already know?
Yes. Enter the company website and ProspectScouter scouts it on demand, producing the same enriched report as accounts on the board.
Does it bulk enrich my existing CRM database?
No. ProspectScouter enriches the accounts you prospect, either from the scouting board or on demand. For a full backfill of existing CRM records, a CRM native enrichment tool fits better.
How fresh is the enriched data?
The scouting board refreshes weekly, and watched accounts trigger an email or Slack alert when a new signal appears. Each signal shows its source, so you can see when it was published.
Is the enrichment data compliant with GDPR and CCPA?
Company information comes from public pages and announcements, and contacts come from licensed data providers. Opt-out requests are honored, personal data is handled under GDPR and CCPA rules, and Enterprise includes a DPA.
