AI SDR that researches every account and drafts the first message for your reps
An AI SDR takes over the parts of a sales development job that eat the week: finding accounts that fit, reading their websites and news, working out who to contact and drafting a first message. ProspectScouter does exactly that research and drafting work, then hands it to a person. Your reps review each scouting report, edit the opener if they want, and send it themselves. ProspectScouter does not send mass email on its own and never writes to a prospect without a rep pressing send.

What people mean by an AI SDR
A sales development representative spends most of the day on four tasks: building a list of accounts, researching each one, finding the right person and writing a first touch. The meetings that come out of that work depend heavily on the research step, and research is also what gets cut when a rep is behind on activity targets.
The term AI SDR covers two quite different product designs. Some vendors, such as 11x and Artisan, position their AI SDR as an agent that runs outbound end to end, including writing and sending sequences at volume. Others, including ProspectScouter, position the AI on research and first drafts, with a human deciding what goes out. Check each vendor's current product pages for the exact scope, because both designs keep changing.
The difference matters more than it sounds. An agent that sends on its own decides your volume, your tone and your sender reputation. A research first AI SDR improves the quality of every message a human sends, without changing who is accountable for it.
Research done, draft written, rep decides
You start by describing the customer you win with. The ICP builder reads your website and your best customers and proposes an ideal customer profile you can edit. From then on, ProspectScouter scouts accounts every week and ranks them on a scouting board.
For each account it produces a scouting report with a fit grade from A to D and the reasons for it, the buying signals it found (hiring for a role you help, new funding, a new executive, a new location, a technology change or a product launch), each with a link to its public source and a quoted snippet, a company snapshot, the roles to contact and a suggested angle. It then writes a first email and a short LinkedIn note from that signal, in your tone.
The rep reads the report, checks the source, edits the draft and sends it from their own inbox or sequence tool. Verified contacts and the report context sync to HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce, so the CRM shows why the account was contacted. Nothing goes to a prospect automatically.
- Weekly scouting board ranked by fit grade.
- A scouting report on every account, with sourced signals.
- First email and LinkedIn note drafted from the signal.
- Verified work emails and direct lines for the recommended roles.
- Email and Slack alerts when a watched account shows a new signal.

The autonomous agent design suits teams that want high send volume and accept less control over each message. The research first design suits teams that care about every message being accurate and want reps to stay the sender. For a longer look at where people and AI each do better, read AI SDR vs human SDR.
Why we keep a person on the send button
A first email to a buyer carries your company's name. When it quotes the wrong funding round or congratulates someone on a role they left, the damage lands on your domain and your brand, not on the software. Keeping the rep as the sender means every message gets one human read before it goes out.
It also protects deliverability. Mailbox providers watch sending patterns closely, and sudden large volumes from a new setup are a common route to the spam folder. When reps send researched messages at a normal human pace, you keep your domain healthy.
Finally, it keeps the learning on your team. Reps who read a scouting report every morning get better at spotting buying signals themselves. The buying signals guide lists the ones that matter most.

Who uses ProspectScouter as an AI SDR
Founders doing founder led sales use it as the research half of a first sales hire. SDR teams use it to start each week with thirty to sixty researched accounts per rep instead of a raw export. Account executives use it to get a brief before every first call in their territory. Sales leaders use it to get one shared definition of a good fit account across the team, with the grade synced to the CRM.
What to ask before you buy an AI SDR
- 01 Does the AI send on its own, or does a person approve every message?
- 02 Does every claim in a draft link to a public source your rep can check in seconds?
- 03 How does the tool decide which accounts to contact, and can you edit that profile?
- 04 Whose domain and mailbox send the email, and who is responsible for deliverability?
- 05 What is the contract length, and can you cancel without waiting for a renewal date?
- 06 Does it write in your tone, and can a rep edit before anything goes out?
- 07 How are contacts sourced, and are opt-out, GDPR and CCPA handled?

FAQ
Does ProspectScouter send emails automatically?
No. ProspectScouter researches accounts and writes first drafts. A rep reviews each message and sends it from their own inbox or sequence tool, so nothing reaches a prospect without a person deciding to send it.
Can an AI SDR replace my sales development team?
ProspectScouter is built to take the research and drafting load off your reps, not to replace them. Reps keep the conversations, the judgement and the relationships, and spend more of the week on them.
How does the AI know what to write?
Each draft is written from the buying signal in the scouting report, such as a job posting or a funding announcement, with the public source linked. It uses your positioning from the ICP builder and writes in the tone you set.
Which accounts does the AI SDR pick?
It ranks accounts against your ideal customer profile and grades each one from A to D with reasons. You can edit the profile at any time, and Growth and higher plans let you run several ICPs side by side.
Do I need to build prompts or workflows?
No. You describe the customer you win with, review the ICP the builder proposes, and the scouting board fills in every week. There are no tables or prompts to maintain.
