About the product
What is ProspectScouter?
ProspectScouter is prospect scouter software for B2B sales teams. You describe the customers you win with, and it returns a weekly scouting board of matching accounts. Each account has a fit grade from A to D, the public buying signal that makes now a good time, the roles to contact and a first message written from that signal.
How is a scout different from a contact database?
A contact database gives you millions of records and leaves the research to your reps. A scout gives you a short, ranked list and does the research for each account: why it fits, what changed recently and what to say. You can still reveal verified contacts for the roles in a report with the email finder.
What is a scouting report?
A scouting report is one page per account. It shows the fit grade with three reasons, the buying signals with quoted evidence and a link to each source, a company snapshot, the roles to contact, a suggested angle, a first email and a LinkedIn note. Read more about prospect research reports.
What counts as a buying signal?
A public change that makes an account more likely to buy what you sell. Common ones are hiring for a role your product supports, new funding, a new executive, a new office or region, a new product launch and a change in the tools a company uses. Our guide to buying signals lists fourteen of them.
How does the fit grade work?
ProspectScouter compares each account with your ideal customer profile: industry, size, region, buyer roles, the problems you solve and what your best customers have in common. Grade A means a strong match plus a current reason to reach out. Grade D means a weak match or no reason now. See lead scoring software for the details.
Does it send emails for me?
No. ProspectScouter writes the first email and a LinkedIn note, and your reps edit and send them from their own tools. That keeps your sending reputation and your voice in your hands. Read how this fits the AI SDR model.
How often does the scouting board refresh?
Every week. Accounts with a new signal move up, accounts that no longer fit move down, and on Growth and above you get alerts by email and Slack when a watched account shows a new signal.
Data and compliance
Where does the data come from?
Buying signals come from public company pages such as the homepage, careers and jobs pages, about pages, news and blog posts, plus public announcements. Every signal quotes its source and links to it. Work emails and direct lines come from licensed data providers.
How accurate are the emails?
Every email is verified before export, and addresses that fail verification are not exported and do not count against your limit. Direct lines are shown only when a licensed source has them.
Is ProspectScouter GDPR and CCPA compliant?
Yes. Business contact data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, every opt-out request is honored, data is kept only as long as needed and a data processing agreement is available. Read the sales intelligence data security page and the privacy policy.
Can a person ask to be removed from your data?
Yes. Anyone can email [email protected] to see, correct or delete the business contact data we hold about them, and we stop showing it in reports.
Who can see my ideal customer profile and my board?
Only the members of your workspace. We do not share your profile, your board or your exports with other customers, and we do not use them to build lists for anyone else.
Plans and billing
Can I try it before I pay?
Yes, with a one-time demo report. Scout one account from the homepage with no card and no account. There is no free plan. Paid plans start at $49 per month, or $24 per month billed yearly.
How much does ProspectScouter cost?
Starter costs $49 per month, Growth $149 per month and Scale $499 per month. Billed yearly, they cost $24, $74 and $249 per month. Enterprise is $999 per month, or $499 per month billed yearly, with 20,000 accounts and 15,000 contacts. All limits are on the pricing page.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Plans renew monthly or yearly until you cancel. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
You can move to a larger plan and keep scouting right away, or wait until your limits reset at the start of your next billing period. Nothing on your board is deleted.
Do you offer invoices and purchase orders?
Yes, on Enterprise. Self-service plans are paid by card, and every payment comes with a receipt you can download from your account.
Setup and integrations
Do I need to build tables or prompts?
No. You add your website and a few of your best customers, and the ICP builder creates your ideal customer profile. ProspectScouter builds the board and the reports from there.
Which CRMs does it sync with?
HubSpot and Pipedrive on Growth, Salesforce on Scale, and CSV export on every plan. Accounts and contacts are deduplicated before sync. See prospecting CRM integrations.
Does ProspectScouter work for agencies?
Yes. Agencies get a separate workspace and ideal customer profile for each client, with exports per campaign. Dedicated agency workspaces are part of Enterprise. See B2B prospecting tools by use case.
Is there an API?
Yes, on Scale and Enterprise. The API returns scouting reports, grades and signals, so you can feed them into your own tools.
